THE NEXTPATH NEW GRADUATE PROGRAM
Our 12-month New Graduate/Early Career Support Program provides a pathway for a smooth transition into your new role, and includes:

A thorough induction process to help you understand your role and everything you need to know about NextPath and Mater Dei.

Reduced caseload for 6 months, then a gradual increase after this time.

A carefully planned therapy timetable, that factors in your interests and experiences, and also ensures access to support from experienced therapists.

Weekly supervision with your clinical supervisor - alternating individual and group sessions

Fortnightly New-Graduate Mentoring and Training group sessions

We are a multidisciplinary team including Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Allied Health Assistants dedicated to providing strengths based, evidence based and individualised therapy support to children and young adults.
At NextPath, we work with children and young adults with developmental delays and disabilities. We specialise in working with individuals with intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorders and other diagnoses.
There are a range of opportunities to provide support to younger children, work with primary and high school aged children and also to support young adults as they transition from High School to the workforce and/or community. We provide therapy supports to children attending Mater Dei Preschool and Mater Dei School (K-12), as well as support Young Adults in our NextPath Continuous Learning Program.
We also provide a range of other services to clients and families in the community, including diagnostic and therapy assessments, individual therapy sessions in the clinic or via telehealth and outreach to schools/childcare centres.
We also offer a range of group therapy sessions, including social skills groups, school readiness groups, and Alert groups. We are also supported by an Allied Health Assistant, who provides great support across all disciplines.
Our therapists work out of our 2 sites, located on the beautiful Mater Dei grounds at Camden and conveniently at Narellan Town Centre. Our therapy rooms and sensory gyms are extremely well resourced. Therapists have access to professional development opportunities and work in a highly supportive environment with experienced therapists. Group supervision and multidisciplinary collaboration are scheduled fortnightly and additional supervision or support is always available.
The successful applicant will have:
Essential
-
A relevant Speech Pathology qualification
-
CPSP Certified Practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia.

Clinical/practical experience working with children or young adults with developmental delays or disabilities
-
A valid Working With Children Check
-
A current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain as part of the employment process
-
Current Australian Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable car
-
Ability to work effectively and independently as part of a multidisciplinary team
-
Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication skills
-
Well-developed computer literacy
-
Excellent time management skills
-
Willingness to engage in supervision and professional development opportunities
-
A current CPR Certificate (no older than 12 months).

Up to date vaccination status (3 vaccinations) is a mandatory for all employees and evidence will need to be provided before an offer of employment is made.

NextPath Driver (Casual)
We are seeking a casual Driver to transport NextPath Continuous Learning participants to and from the NextPath Program.
Key Responsibilities
-
Complete a range of NextPath taxi runs as directed by NextPath Administration and management staff.

Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to complete a variety of taxi runs, as required by NextPath
-
Demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record and duty of care for Young Adults at all times
-
Upkeep of vehicles, including refuelling and cleaning as required.
-
Communicate effectively and professionally with NextPath staff, Young Adults and their supporters.
-
Communicate in a timely manner to supporters Young Adult pick up times.
-
Respect and maintain confidentiality of participant information at all times.
-
Return the vehicle to its starting location at the end of each shift.
Essential Criteria
It is a condition of employment that the NextPath Driver maintains the following:

Hold a valid NSW Class C Licence
-
Good driving record (Provide NextPath with a copy of the RMS Driver Record)

Medical Clearance (certificate) from a General Practitioner advising you are fit to drive
-
Current First Aid/ CPR Qualifications
-
Current Working with Children Check
-
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
-
Sensitivity to the differing needs of participants including privacy, confidentiality and cultural diversity
-
Vaccination is a condition of employment at Mater Dei. Evidence of vaccination (3 doses) for Covid-19 must be produced prior to an offer of employment being made.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Passenger Vehicle Transportation Award (2020) Level 2 ($29.40 per hour).
The hours of work are 6am to 9am and 3pm to 6pm.
