Payroll Giving

What is Payroll Giving?

Payroll Giving is a simple and tax effective way to give regular donations to Mater Dei.

Donations are automatically deducted from your pay.  Your employer deducts your donation amount from your salary before taking tax. This means you will receive a tax benefit every time, without the need for receipts or to wait until the end of the financial year to make a claim.

Benefits to you

You can support Mater Dei regularly with immediate tax benefits.

There is no need to keep receipts for your contributions as your total donation amount is included in your payment summary. There are no direct debits to set up or cheques to organise.

When you let us know that you have set up payroll giving, we will keep you up to date on the work of Mater Dei, and invite you to come and see your donations being put to good use!

•    You can donate as much or as little as you like, it all makes a difference.
•    You can opt out at any time.
•    Your company may agree to match your donation.

Benefits for Payroll Giving for employers

Payroll Giving is a simple way to build your business’ involvement in the community. It is a powerful way to demonstrate corporate social responsibility and support causes important to your staff. Testimonials say that the program may help to strengthen employee recruitment, loyalty and retention by boosting staff morale.

You can enhance your staff’s Payroll Giving Program by electing to implement a matched gift program.  This is an incentive for staff to donate through company payroll giving, and will help raise more funds for children at Mater Dei.

Payroll Giving is easy to set up and low on administration and resource time.

When you set up your Payroll Giving Program with your payroll team, you may like to refer to these guidelines from the Australian Tax Office.
