APPOINTMENT of DIRECTOR of DEVELOPMENT
I am pleased to advise that Catherine Jeffcoate has been appointed as the new Director of Development at Mater Dei.
With the departure of Sharon Pascoe-Thomas I have taken the opportunity to review the needs of the Development function and I have decided that a full time resource to lead the team will best serve our needs moving into the future. Consequently, Catherine will be engaged on a full time basis, five days per week, and will assume overall responsibility for the Development program. Simone Wilson will continue to be an integral member of the Development and Foundation team as will Alison McManus. Simone will continue to be directly responsible for the Mater Dei Foundation and specifically, regular giving programs. Simone will work closely with Catherine and report directly to Catherine.
Catherine is currently the Development Officer at St Gregory’s College Campbelltown. She has occupied that role for thirteen years since 2005. Catherine brings to this new role at Mater Dei extensive experience and a sophisticated skill set in event management, marketing and public relations. Catherine is widely known and respected in the Macarthur community including among the broader Mater Dei community.
I know that Catherine will continue to build on the outstanding work of the team that she now joins at Mater Dei. Her presence will significantly enrich our community.
Catherine will take up her appointment on Monday, 17th July. I know you will join with me in welcoming Catherine and Craig, Matt and Amy and Jess to our community.

We are mindful of the pain felt by victims and their families and we join with the Congregation of the Sisters of the Good Samaritan in expressing deep regret for the lives that have been damaged through tragic events such as the abuse of vulnerable children and adults.
