Our Race Evening

On Saturday, 17 August Mater Dei held the 13th annual Charity Race Evening at Club Menangle.
The evening was a great success with 200 supporters from the local community coming together to watch 10 races and participate in the fun games, raising funds to support Mater Dei’s NextPath program.

A particular highlight on the night was the involvement of our NextPath Young Adults who welcomed our supporters, helped run the fun activities during on the night and shared their stories to those in the room. Director of Continuous Learning, Tennille Bertram also spoke about the future opportunities for local businesses to link with Mater Dei and how the benefits are twofold. Mark Scarce shared his experience with having two Mater Dei students working at Camden Hire for over 20 years and the positive outcomes he has seen.

This evening would not be possible without the support of our sponsors, particularly our major sponsor Campbelltown Catholic Club and Race Sponsor’s Drive to Survive and Carey Constructions.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to make this event such a success.

A special thanks to the hard-working and hands on Committee lead by Mark Scarce (Chair), Glenn Fordham, Paul Hillbrick, Louise Sparks-Howarth and Carla Neilsen.
