Our Fundraising Dinner

You are our champions!

On the evening of Saturday 7th September our magnificent extended community gathered for the 19th Annual Mater Dei Foundation Dinner.

The evening was an opportunity to celebrate all of the champions in our community. What an extraordinary night it was with over $320,000 (nett) raised to support the students and their families of Mater Dei.

The room at The Cube, Campbelltown Catholic Club was magnificently lit to highlight our champions within the room and included drummers to kick off the night. Our always popular Mater Dei School Choir performed two songs on stage, “We Can Be Hero’s” and Coldplay’s “A Sky Full of Stars.” This year saw the inaugural performance by 6 young adults from our NextPath program, to the song “Roar”. Thank you to our Master of Ceremonies Steve Edge, Sarah Ryan and this year our School Captain Ciaran entertained our guests in the room.

A special presentation by the Chair of the Mater Dei Board, John Adam touched on the role Mater Dei plays in the lives of our students.

“The Killer Queens” performed their high energy show featuring iconic songs “We Will Rock You” and “We are the Champions”.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to make this event such a success.

This would not be possible without the support of our sponsors, particularly our major sponsors: Bob Ingham AO and Family, Bradcorp, Campbelltown Catholic Club, Perich Group, Walker Corporation, Wests Group Macarthur and Max and Nola Tegel.

A special thanks to the hard-working and hands on Committee lead by Jim Marsden and including John Adam, Kevin O’Keefe, Kristen Green, Greg Copeland, Bryson Shafer, Tim Knapp, Tony Fitzgerald, Catherine Jeffcoate, Alison McManus and Sarah Ryan.

To the 580 guests who attended, bought raffle tickets, made pledges, bid on auction items or simply marvelled at the work of the Mater Dei staff, you are our champions!
